Remodeling of a museum in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a three-story above grade museum.
This is a request for proposals for interior painting services at the Glen Carbon Heritage Museum. The successful proposer will furnish all labor, equipment, tools, parts, and materials required for the painting work, including an initial site assessment, comprehensive lead testing and risk assessment, and painting of ceilings, walls, and trim with lead encapsulation paint where required. The contractor must ensure adherence to the standards set by the National Register of Historic Places and Federal Preservation Laws. All work must be coordinated with Museum staff, and care must be taken to avoid damage to carpets and original wood flooring. Proposals must include a cover letter, company qualifications (including licenses and certifications), a detailed approach to the scope of work, pricing, references, and key personnel qualifications. An initial, mandatory site visit must be scheduled prior to submitting a proposal. Compliance with prevailing wage requirements may be required.
