Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. An apprenticeship program approved by the NYS Department of Labor is required for all projects exceeding $250,000, and this applies to all prime contracts as well as all respective sub-contracts for all trades necessary to complete the work. Documentation for the apprenticeship program must be submitted with the bid. The Town of Babylon encourages minority and women owned businesses to participate in all bids.
