Pursuant to N.C. Stat. Sec. 143-64-31, proposals are sought from qualified design-build teams for school construction, renovations, and building system upgrades across Asheboro City Schools. The aim is to ensure an optimal learning environment for students and staff. The selected team will be chosen based on qualifications to provide design, estimating, construction, and construction management services for renovations that will occur in occupied buildings, requiring careful planning and execution to allow ongoing operations. The design-build project delivery method is intended to minimize cost escalation, reduce change orders from existing conditions, and decrease the overall project schedule. The selected vendor is intended to be retained as funding becomes available, with specific design and construction management costs negotiated at the start of each project. Proposing firms must submit two copies of their qualifications information package. Submittals should consist of 8-1/2” x 11” pages stapled in the upper left corner, without notebooks, binders, tabs, or clips, and should not exceed forty single-sided or twenty double-sided pages, not including the cover.
