Northcentral Technical College District is soliciting bids for concrete improvements at the Coverall and Ag Utilities Buildings located at the NTC Wausau Agriculture Center of Excellence. Bidders must submit their bids electronically through DemandStar, using the forms provided; bids submitted by paper, phone, fax, or e-mail will not be accepted. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the bid amount as a guarantee that, if accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award. Bids must be guaranteed for at least sixty days following the bid opening. Northcentral Technical College reserves the right to waive informalities or reject all bids. Deadline for any questions to be received....12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2026 Any questions regarding the IFB should be directed to NTC's Purchasing Department. Questions pertaining to this IFB must be in writing only and emailed to ebidding@ntc.edu no later than 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The email subject line must state: "IFB 26-138-17, QUESTIONS, and your company name." Anticipated Award date... Week of March 16, 2026 Coverall Building The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision required to complete the following scope of work: Excavation and Subgrade Preparation The contractor shall perform all excavation necessary for the required depth for a 6-inch concrete slab within the work area. Excavation shall be performed to accommodate the slab thickness without insulation below the slab The contractor is responsible for the following: 1. Excavation of the interior area measuring 68 feet by 126 feet to the depth required for proper slab installation. 2. Removal and disposal of all excavated material from site 3. Grading and compaction of the subgrade to ensure a stable, uniform base prior to pouring concrete 4. The scope does not include insulation beneath the slab; no insulation layershall be installed as part of this project Concrete Slab Installation The contractor shall install a 6 inch thick concrete slab across the full interior area of 68 feet by 126 feet. The slab shall be placed continuously and uniformly in accordance with accepted concrete construction practices. Specific requirements include the following: 1. Concrete mix design shall be appropriate for 6 inch interior slab subject to vehicle and equipment loading typical of a coverall or storage building use 2. Forta fiber reinforcing shall be incorporated into the concrete mix throughout the entire slab area in lieu of traditional wire mesh or rebar reinforcement. The fiber dosage rate shall be consistent with manufacturer specifications and industry standards to match or exceed the performance intent of #4 rebar at 24 inches on center. 3.
