New construction of a fire / police facility in Gorham, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility.
Separate sealed bids are invited for the construction of a new fire station. Contract documents may be examined at the specified locations and obtained from the office of the engineer upon payment of a non-refundable fee. Each bid must include a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bonds at par value, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable surety amounting to five percent (5%) of the total bid. Bidders must comply with minimum salary and wage requirements as set forth in the contract documents, and ensure non-discrimination in employment. Proposals must be made on forms furnished by the engineer. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding. The successful bidder must furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the contract amount. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the opening date.
