Description

The work includes the removal, hauling, and agricultural land application of Class B municipal biosolids generated by the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant, in accordance with all IEPA, USEPA, and applicable regulatory requirements. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: "City of Sandwich – Sealed Bid Enclosed: 2026 Biosolids Hauling and Spreading." Paper bid submissions only. Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Questions must be submitted in writing to the Superintendent of Wastewater at beade@sandwich.il.us no later than March 4, 2026. Responses will be issued only by written addendum. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
