Site work for a water / sewer project in Sandwich, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed proposals are requested for Railroad Street Water System Improvements, which include installation of 120 feet of 8" raw water main, replacement of curb and gutter, hot-mix asphalt pavement patching, and all other associated work needed to complete the project as per the provided plans, specifications, and applicable standards. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the required identification. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value), or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The successful contractor will be required to provide a satisfactory performance bond, labor and material payment bond, and proof of insurance after the contract is awarded. All work is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and adherence to non-discrimination requirements. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, and select the lowest responsible bid. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to bid and to be considered for subcontracting opportunities. Est.
