The City of Fairbury, Nebraska invites sealed bids for Water Treatment Equipment Procurement, including selection and provision of the following material and equipment for a water treatment system: All communication relative to the equipment procurement shall be directed to Craig Reinsch, PE, 601 P Street, Suite 200, Lincoln, Nebraska 68508, 402-458-5671, creinsch@olsson.com All questions about the meaning or intent of the Procurement Bidding Documents are to be Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents, Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. o Base Bid #1 - Permanent Water Treatment Equipment o Base Bid #2 - Temporary Rental Water Treatment Equipment o Adjustment Unit Prices: Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membranes (unit price) The project includes shipping, handling to site, and incidental work as detailed in the plans and specifications. Stage I: Design water treatment equipment for Stages II and III. Provide design support during development of construction contract documents, including technical submittals, responses to questions, review/comment on bid documents at various completion levels, and furnish an Installation Contractor Information Package. Stage II: Furnish, deliver, and provide installation assistance for temporary (rental) water treatment equipment at the new facility. Services include preparation of shop drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, providing electronic files, coordination for installation, performance testing, startup, and training with demonstration testing. Stage III: Furnish, deliver, and provide installation assistance for permanent water treatment equipment. Services include the same as Stage II, plus coordination with the installing contractor. Membranes for the permanent system are to be used first with the temporary system and transferred to the permanent system during startup and decommissioning. Proposals must be made on the furnished Bid Form and accompanied by a Bid Bond or cashier's check equal to five percent of the bid. Proposals for furnishing Goods and Special Services will be received electronically on the QuestCDN platform. The Contractor must comply with all program requirements as detailed in the contract documents. The project is subject to Build America, Buy America Act requirements, with specified waivers applying to temporary treatment (Stages I and II). The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities.
