Proposals are requested from licensed, qualified contractors for construction involving Facility Electrical Upgrades at the St. Augustine Airport C-12 Hangar. The project includes replacing the existing exterior main service circuit breaker, removing the outdoor automatic transfer switch and installing a new automatic transfer switch in a new indoor location, installing full facility lightning protection (which requires underground boring and/or trenching), installing surge suppression devices, installing cord reels in the hangar bay, and replacing designated interior light fixtures. The project must meet all applicable codes, permitting, and regulatory requirements. Each bidder governed by relevant chapters of the Florida Statutes must submit proper licensure or certification with their bid. Buy American Preference applies. Bids must be submitted on the specified DMA Proposal Form and Subcontractor list, in a sealed package marked accordingly. Electronic bids will not be considered. Bids over $100,000 must include a 5% bid bond or equivalent security. Winning bidder must provide proof of required insurance and bonds within 10 days of contract award. All questions regarding the procurement must be submitted in writing via email. Contractors must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and maintain a drug-free workplace program. Debarred, suspended, or ineligible parties are not allowed to participate. No prequalification to submit a bid is required. The Department reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and may request clarifications prior to award.
