The work provides for the furnishing of all materials, equipment, and labor for constructing the Residential Street Maintenance in the City of Hutchinson, Kansas. The scope consists of the following estimated quantities: Single Chip Seal – 264,311 SY; Double Chip Seal - 54,263 SY; Crack Seal – 113,094 LBS. Other work includes Traffic Control, Tree Trimming, and Public Relations. All bids must be submitted with a bid bond equal to 5 percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. The entire project name must appear on the outside of the bid envelope. Contract documents can be examined at the City Engineer's office by appointment or purchased online for a non-refundable fee. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and determine the lowest responsible bid. Bids may be held for up to sixty (60) days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications before contract award.
