Renovation and addition to a library in Washburn, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,100-square-foot library; and library.
Sealed bids will be received for the renovation and addition of the Washburn Branch Library. The scope of work includes General, Demolition, Architectural, Interiors, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, Technology, and Civil work. Bids are to be submitted for all work categories identified. The successful bidder must provide a bid bond, certified check, bank draft, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid as a guarantee to execute a satisfactory contract, furnish required performance and payment bonds, and requisite insurance before commencing work. The successful bidder is also required to enter into a formal contract based on the bid documents, which will be incorporated into the contract. Bids are subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act." The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interest of the Owner. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT: 1. General Construction Work: a. Interior renovation of approximately 1,600 sf and approximately 500 sf addition to the current Washburn Branch of the Illinois Prairie District Public Library
