Reference Number 0000414854 It is the intent of the City of Rochester to establish a Pre-Qualified Public Works Term Contract (PQBL) for the Department of Environmental Services. The PQBL will be utilized for the purpose of procuring public work services related to construction and maintenance of the City's right-of-way streetscape infrastructure. This shall be a term agreement under which specific projects or tasks order will be competitively bid among contractors included on the applicable PQBL. Projects or tasks will be on an as-needed basis to support the City of Rochester. This contingent contract does not guarantee any minimum amount of work. Nature of Assignments Work shall be assigned on a project-specific or task-order basis. Projects may vary in size and complexity and may include discrete maintenance assignments, emergency repairs, or planned improvements. Some categories of work may be utilized extensively during the term of the agreement, while others may not be utilized. Categories of Work Work under this Contract may include, but is not limited to: Asphalt milling and paving Sidewalk construction and rehabilitation Installation of curb ramps and ADA improvements Construction of speed humps and raised crosswalks Pavement markings Fabrication, installation, and replacement of parking signs Other right-of-way and streetscape improvements Detailed technical specifications and unit price schedules are set forth in the Bid Proposal Forms andAppendices. Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) Requirements: The City has a Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) policy that ensures participation of Minority and Women-owned businesses on City public works projects, including demolitions. Ordinance No. 2018-54 established a goal that MWBE's will receive 30% of the aggregate total annual contract awards for City public works contracts over $20,000, with the goal for minority owned businesses (M) being 15% and women owned businesses (W) being 15%.
