Site work for a development in Madison, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a conservation development.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services seeks competitive bids for the pushing, raking, piling, and burning of residual hardwoods and logging debris at three sites totaling approximately 317 acres within the Twin River State Forest: Site 1 is a 165-acre clearcut area on the Westwood West Tract; Site 2 is a 28-acre clearcut on the Ellaville Tract (Hwy 90); and Site 3 is a 124-acre clearcut on the Ellaville Tract (NE Myrrh St). Sites 1 and 3 were clearcut, including fuelwood, during a salvage harvest following Hurricane Helene in 2024. Site 2 was clearcut during a salvage harvest following Hurricane Idalia in 2023. In all three sites there are few non-merchantable living hardwoods that would require pushing, raking, and burning. Vendors are strongly recommended, but not required, to inspect the sites prior to submitting their bids to consider all general and local conditions that may affect bid preparation and contractor performance. It is the responsibility of the vendor to consider all site conditions or requirements for the project. A site visit is recommended but is not mandatory. All bids must comply with the mandatory requirements as specified and are subject to the terms, conditions, and order of precedence outlined in the solicitation.
