Reference Number 0000414676 The Town of Johnstown (Town) is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide preliminary engineering design, final engineering design, and design support during construction of the Town's Elwell Elementary Safe Routes to School Project. The successful consultant will address all of the tasks, issues and deliverables identified in their proposal; will possess the expertise and experience necessary to complete the project on time and within the established budget; and will be motivated to work with the Town of Johnstown, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), and other stakeholders to accomplish the goals and objectives associated with this project. This project contains federal funding, and therefore all work associated with the project must be in accordance with all CDOT Local Agency and CDOT specifications. The Town is seeking professional consulting services to design the Town of Johnstown Elwell Safe Routes to School Project. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will oversee the Town of Johnstown (Town) when the Town designs and constructs the following: Elwell Elementary Safe Routes to School High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) system to create interconnectivity located at Colorado Boulevard south of State Highway 60 and north of the Great Western Railroad to the development to the east. This HAWK system will include construction of ADA ramps, sidewalk, signage, and striping necessary for the intended HAWK crossing system. It is the Town of Johnstown's goal to begin construction of the project in early spring/summer of 2027. Below are anticipated phases for the project. Proposing teams should demonstrate their understanding of necessary time for each phase in order to meet the construction goal.
