Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Grayslake, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The project includes the construction of a new one-story, split level freestanding building with a build-out of all interior systems. Subcontractor Default Insurance will be provided in lieu of a performance and payment bond, so do not include the cost of a performance and payment bond in the base bid and alternates. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Base Bid. Contractors must guarantee their submitted Bid Proposal for a ninety (90) day period from the date of Bid Opening. A Contractor's Qualifications Statement must be submitted at the time of bid or already be on file. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring payment of the prevailing wage rate to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics working on publicly funded projects; any rate changes during the period of work are the contractor's responsibility without contract adjustment. The solicitation includes a Business Enterprise Program (BEP) participation goal of 30% of the total contract value awarded to MBEs and FBEs, based on the availability of BEP certified vendors to provide the required services and/or supplies. Bidders must register with the College of Lake County on the vendor portal and are responsible for checking daily for project information and addenda. The College reserves the right to reject any and all bids, non-conforming bids, conditional bids, waive informalities and irregularities, and award to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the College.
