The Buffalo Public Schools is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide project monitoring, air monitoring, and project design services on an as-needed basis for district-wide planned and emergency abatement projects. Planned projects are determined by the current AHERA Management plan and involve approximately 70 sites, most of which have undergone extensive renovation and asbestos removal. The contracting firm must be licensed and have properly certified project monitors, air monitors, and project designers. The project designer is responsible for planning and designing asbestos abatement projects, including providing detailed specifications and drawings. Project monitors will act as the on-site representative of the Buffalo Public Schools and serve as the “Competent Person.” The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
