Renovation of an educational facility in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 58,616-square-foot educational facility.
The Chief of Staff of the City of Amesbury is soliciting responses from interested parties for the disposition, by sale, of surplus building and land for the purpose of redevelopment in accordance with the City of Amesbury Zoning regulations and any legislative limitations placed upon the property. The surplus building is the former Amesbury Elementary School, 58,616 square feet in size, situated on an approximately 14.11-acre parcel of land along South Hampton Road with limited frontage on Rowell Street. A portion of the parcel, including the surplus building and Rowell Street frontage, was recently rezoned from Open Space Conservancy (Municipal) to Residence 8. Potential responders should review the full Request for Proposals (RFP) for additional details and limiting conditions. Interested parties must notify the City when obtaining the RFP. Proposals must include a refundable bid deposit of $5,000 and be submitted no later than the specified deadline to the Office of Administration and Finance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
