Reference Number 0000418205 Bid Intent Not Available In accordance with the requirements of C.G.S. 10-287, the City of Bristol is seeking to renovate the Edgewood Pre-Kindergarten facility located at 345 Mix Street, Bristol, CT. The City of Bristol (the "City") is accepting qualifications submissions from construction management firms to serve as Construction Manager at Risk ("CMr"), which shall assist in the planning, design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimating, and provision of construction management services, toward the full renovation of the existing facility. The intent of this request for qualifications is to establish a list of construction management firms that are prequalified to submit a proposal for such services for this project. The City is expected to receive award of funding support from the State of Connecticut Office of Grants Administration ("OGA") for a "Renovate-as-New" construction project with a budget of $28.8 million for the proposed project, inclusive of all hard and soft costs. The City has retained QA+M architects to design the project and the project will be administered through a Construction Manager at Risk ("CMr"), operating under the authority of a building committee. The City has staff serving as project manager, assigned as the owner's representative, to support its interests throughout the construction project. The design team and the CMr will report to the building committee through the owner's representative. The project schedule has been developed in coordination with the architect to reflect the district's desire to occupy the completed building by the start of the 2027 school year. To meet this schedule an early Abatement and Demolition set of documents is being prepared for bidding by May 11, 2026 - with construction for these activities to begin June 29, 2026.
