Brynes, AICP, Director of Planning and Economic Development at kbrynes@eastprovidenceri.gov and Jessica Lamprey, Procurement Specialist at jlamprey@eastprovidenceri.gov The City of East Providence is seeking a qualified transportation engineering firm with expertise in the U.S. Department of Transportation's Safe Systems approach to develop a Supplemental Action Plan of the "Six Corners" intersection through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Safe Streets for All grant program. As shown in the enclosed locus map, the Six Corners intersection is where Taunton Ave., Waterman Ave. and Broadway converge; the study area will also consist of the surrounding street network that leads into this intersection. The project will focus on enhancing safety for pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and public transit users in this area. Analysis of existing conditions including traffic patterns and counts, pedestrian and bicycle activity, transit ridership, accident history and infrastructure conditions. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in order to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The goal for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation is 10% of the total bid value. The goal for Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) participation is 10% of the total bid value. The goal for combined MBE/WBE participation is 20% of the total bid value
