As of March 18, 2026 the project has been awarded. The work involves the rehabilitation of one home located in Cherokee County, to be completed according to the work write-up, within 20 working days. Work should begin within two weeks of notification, or liquidated damages of $100.00 per working day will be charged for each day beyond the contract end date. Interested parties must fully complete the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up. To receive preference, bidders must be TERO certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office, with proof of certification included in the submittal. The successful bidder must comply with Tribal rules, regulations, and TERO requirements, including completing the TERO Labor Agreement and paying all applicable fees. Award will be made to the lowest, most responsive bidder in accordance with the Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation Procurement Policy, contingent on available funds. Bids will be accepted from both Indian and Non-Indian bidders, but Indian preference will be given to those providing proof of current TERO certification. All bids are to be delivered by the specified deadline, with late bids not considered. Bidders are responsible for all costs related to bid preparation and submission, and may not withdraw their bid within 30 days of the due date. The Housing Authority reserves the right to determine responsiveness, award the purchase order in its best interest, and reject any or all bids.
