Sealed bids are invited for the Cypress HS Roofing Project. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the appropriate security and filed with the District Facilities Department prior to the specified deadline. A mandatory job walk is required for all bidders; failure to attend will result in disqualification. Each bid must include cash, certified or cashier’s check, or a surety bond in an amount not less than 10% of the total bid. Successful bidders must provide necessary bonds and certificates of insurance within ten days of notification. If the contract exceeds $25,000, both a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each for 100% of the contract price, are required. All contractors must possess and maintain a B or C-39 license and comply with prevailing wage requirements. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and be qualified to perform public works. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR, and penalties apply for failure to comply with prevailing wage laws. The District reserves the right to reject any/all bids and waive irregularities. If any bidder isin doubt asto the true meaning of any part of the Project Documents, or finds discrepancies in or omissions from the Project Documents, a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof must be submitted to the DISTRICT five (5) days before bid deadline.
