Sealed bids are invited from qualified General Contractors for the RSA Van Antwerp Building—Levels 2, 8, 9, and 10 Phelps Tenant Improvement in Mobile, Alabama. Bid documents can be examined at the Office of the Architect and various Plan Rooms, and may be obtained from the Architect for a fee, with specified refund conditions for returned sets. All bidders must be licensed under Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, and evidence of this must appear on the bid envelope. For fire alarm system work, contractors must hold a Certified Fire Alarm Contractor license and have a NICET Level III Technician in a position of responsibility, with technicians required to have NICET Level II or equivalent certification. Bidders must provide evidence of meeting these certification requirements at the pre-bid conference. A cashier's check or bid bond of at least five percent of the bid amount (maximum $10,000) must accompany the bid and secure it for at least 60 days. Conditional bids will be rejected.
