The consultant will provide professional engineering services which include: conducting a preconstruction conference with representatives of the Owner, Contractor(s), Utilities, and interested parties; providing resident engineers, inspectors, technicians, and surveyors for the project; providing a Resident Engineer/Inspector for full-time observation during the construction period to observe and record construction progress; keeping the Owner informed of work progress and guarding against defects and deficiencies; preparing written daily inspection reports with digital photographs; reviewing pre-lining videos to document all service laterals; reviewing post-lining videos to ensure all documented service laterals have been reinstated; assisting the Owner in preparing necessary change orders and/or field directives; processing monthly applications for payment submitted by Contractors, forwarding them to the Owner with recommendations; assisting the Owner in resolving inquiries or complaints from residents or the public; reviewing shop drawings and equipment/material submittals as required; and performing field observation of all completed work before processing a final application for payment.
