This project has already completed the prequalification process. Only contractors who submitted a prequalification form and achieved a qualifying score are eligible to submit bids for this project. The project consists of approximately 12,500 square feet between 3 additions for surgery, storage, physical therapy, office, and sleep rooms. It also includes approximately 30,000 square feet of several renovations, covering surgery, physical therapy, office, lab, conference rooms, and imaging. Site work includes renovating the dock area. The project is heavily phased, with the 3 additions constructed first, followed by work moving into those additions. Bids are solicited for a range of bid packages, such as general construction, demolition, masonry, steel, roofing, waterproofing, doors, glazing, drywall, flooring, painting, window treatments, fire suppression, plumbing, MRI shielding, electrical, paving, landscaping, and site utilities. Instructions to bidders: Sealed proposals are to be submitted for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the bid packages. A pre-bid walkthrough is available but not mandatory; contractors are responsible for submitting a complete bid and assume the risk for unknown conditions. Design questions must be submitted to the Architect and Construction Manager via email before the specified deadline. The successful bidder must furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price, issued by a responsible surety approved by the Board of Trustees. All work must be completed within the schedule set forth in the bidding documents. Preference is given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within Iowa.
