Morristown Utilities Commission (MUC) will be accepting separate sealed bids for the installation of approximately 1,100,000 pounds of 100% re-agglomerated bituminous coal based 8x20 mesh virgin Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) and removal of spent GAC in the MUC carbon contactor. The carbon will be used in four gravity water treatment filtration units at the Roy S. Oaks Water Treatment Plant for the purpose of controlling undesirable odors and TOC removal in the finished water supply. MUC reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids, and to determine the lowest responsible bidder.
