Sealed bids are invited for the State Aid Road Project on Mint Springs Road. The primary work includes supplying 5,156 tons of BPMB-HM Grade CW as specified. The Robertson County Highway Department will use a haul formula to determine the supplier: $1.50 for the 1st mile, $0.25 for each additional mile. Unit bid prices for bituminous materials will be adjusted according to the Basic Bituminous Material Index, which is set at $576.15 per ton for Asphalt Cement and based on FOB suppliers terminal. Mineral aggregate and asphalt must meet state specifications and daily gradations are required on the mineral aggregate. All items are bid FOB. The mix can contain up to 10% RAP and must not include RAS. The Hot Mix is let under QA guidelines, with the Producer responsible for testing and daily TDOT reporting. Additives must be included in the unit price bid. The contract is contingent on State Aid Funds and cannot begin until the contract is signed by the Commissioner of Transportation. The local government will pay the contractor within three working days of receiving state funds. Robertson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities or informalities, and accept any bid deemed in the County's best interest. All bids will be considered in accordance with Title VI and without regard to age, sex, color, creed, national origin, religious persuasion, marital status, political belief, or disability that does not prohibit duty performance.
