As of May 1, 2026 the project has been awarded. The Cherokee Nation is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the remodel of an existing building for a Recovery Center located in Vinita (Craig County), Oklahoma. Only General Contracting Companies will be accepted as the sole primary Contractor. Bidders are to furnish all labor, quality control, materials, supplies, and supervision to complete the project. Bids from General Contractors shall be whole and include all sub-contracts and divisions of labor. All work must be completed within the period specified as Calendar Days to Complete, which begins upon issuance of Notice to Proceed and ends at Substantial Completion as declared by the A/E team. All Cherokee Nation buildings and grounds are considered drug free and tobacco free workplaces, and the successful bidder must ensure all workers abide by this policy. The successful bidder must also complete required TERO paperwork and pay all applicable fees as required. Indian and Non-Indian bidders will be accepted, but Indian preference will be given only to those who provide proof of current certification from the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO), which must be included in the sealed bid submittal. Every request for interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other pre-bid documents must be submitted in written format to Cherokee Nation Procurement Department.
