Sealed bids are requested for the renovation of Asheville High School - CTE Kitchen. The work includes all items in the Contract for General Construction, and the Single Prime Contract Bids are to include General Contract, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical. All proposals must be lump sum per the bid form. Bidders must have proper General Contractor Unlimited licensure (Classification for Building) under the laws of the State of North Carolina to perform General Contract work as well as Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, etc. All bids must be made on the required bid form, with all blank spaces for bid prices filled in, in ink or typewritten, and the bid form fully completed and executed when submitted. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check, or a bid bond of not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, with a Corporate Surety approved by the Owner. Payment will be made on the basis of ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates, with final payment upon completion and acceptance of the work. Bidders agree to pay $250.00 per consecutive calendar day as liquidated damages for delays. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time without the Owner's consent. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
