Bids are invited for the improvement of Antolik Road between Daggett Road and Tannery Road. The work includes areas of aggregate base repair, PennDOT Superpave 25.0mm binder course repair, placement of PennDOT Superpave 9.5mm wearing course overlay including tack coat, joint, and centerline sealing, and all appurtenances to provide a complete and finished project in Girard Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond with corporate surety payable to the County of Erie in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materialmen Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Additionally, the successful bidder must provide evidence of Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance as required by the Contract Documents. Documentation showing solicitation of Minority and Women Business Enterprises and Section 3 Business Concerns, as well as compliance with Federal, State, and County Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements and Federal Labor Standards Provisions (including prevailing wage under the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) is required. Bids may be held by the County for up to 60 days. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality in the bidding. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Local Public Agency.
