The Contractor(s) shall furnish and deliver, on an as needed basis, various types of stone, sand, and soil for various City departments. The materials may include 21A Aggregate (Crusher Run); Stone, Rip-Rap, Small; #57 Crushed Stone; #8 Crushed Stone; Concrete Sand (ASTM C-33); VDOT Class 'A' Red Concrete Sand; Pea Gravel; #10 Screenings (Stone Dust); Sifted Topsoil; and Fill Sand, Types I, II, and III. All materials must comply with VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications. The contract may be utilized during official emergency declarations, with Contractors agreeing to provide materials under such circumstances, and to negotiate fair and reasonable pricing based on documented cost changes due to the emergency. A delivery variance of up to ±5% is allowed, and vendors must notify the ordering department in advance if the quantity delivered will differ from the ordered amount. If excess quantities are delivered and rejected, the Contractor must remove the excess at their own expense within a specified timeframe. Failure to provide required notifications may result in delivery rejection or non-payment for excess quantities.
