Lahaina Recreation Center Improvements Electronic sealed bids shall be received and recorded immediately via the Public Purchase System. Bids shall be submitted via the Public Purchase System; otherwise, they shall not be opened or considered. Bids received after the designated time will not be considered. Prospective bidders and interested parties must be registered as a Public Purchase vendor for the Hawaii Region and County of Maui Agency to access the plans, specifications, terms and conditions, proposal, and addenda. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors. The contractor and any subcontractor(s) must comply with all applicable revisions of the prevailing wage rate schedule as required under Chapter 104, HRS. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by an acceptable form of bidder's security (cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond), equal to at least five percent of the total bid amount. Contractors are notified of the applicability of Section 11-205.5, HRS regarding campaign contributions. The County of Maui ensures that the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination. The project is subject to Equal Employment Opportunity Regulations. Work Covered by Contract Documents A. The work of this Contract comprises the LAHAINA RECREATION CENTER IMPROVEMENTS project, P23/007, at TMK: (2) 4-3-015:004, Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, to include but not limited to replacement of play equipment with two (2) stand-alone shade structures, benches, trash and recycling receptacles, surfacing, perimeter fencing, and accessible paths around the playground. B. The Contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, and transportation necessary and incidental to construction operations for the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor is required to provide work not indicated on the drawings or expressly required by the specifications, but which is manifestly necessary for proper, full, and faithful performance of the work in accordance with the intent and meaning of the Contract Documents.
