Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Elgin, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of approximately 1,600 linear feet of new sidewalks and pedestrian improvements along Nina Street, E Alamo Street, and Martin Luther King Boulevard. The work includes eight new crosswalks, pedestrian curb ramps, asphalt pavement, sidewalk drain, curb, gutter, and all necessary appurtenances. Bidders must submit a Cashier's Check or Proposal Bond for five percent of the maximum total bid, and the successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The project requires payment of not less than the federally determined prevailing wage rate and adherence to non-discrimination and equal employment opportunity requirements. Only contractors/subcontractors with active SAM.gov registration and eligibility for federal assistance programs may participate. Plans and specifications can be examined at Elgin City Hall or viewed/downloaded from www.civcastusa.com after registration. All questions must be submitted seventy-two hours prior to bid opening through the project's Q&A portal on the same website. The City of Elgin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty days after receipt.
