Renovation of a golf course in Natick, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a golf course.
The Town Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informality in or to Reject Any, Any Part of, or All Bids in the Best Interest of the Town. Any Bid Submitted Will Be Binding for Thirty (30) Days Subsequent to the Time of Bid Opening. Services Related to the Rehabilitation of the Sassamon Trace Golf Course Bunker, 223 South Main Street, Natick, Ma 01760. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish materials and do all Work (except where specifically noted to the contrary) according to these Specifications and the Drawings and instructions furnished by the ARCHITECT; the Work shall include everything properly incidental thereto, subject to the provisions herein. The scope of Work under these Specifications, without limiting the generality thereof, consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, appurtenant devices and transportation necessary for the Work at the above noted project as indicated in these Specifications and as shown on the Drawings. All Work and materials shall be of the highest quality and workmanship and to the satisfaction of the ARCHITECT and the OWNER. The Work shall be in strict accordance with the Drawings, Specifications and samples, and the CONTRACTOR shall cooperate with the ARCHITECT so that no error or discrepancy in the Drawings and/or Specifications shall cause defective materials or workmanship to be used. Work to be performed as part of the Golf Course Renovation shall include the following: 1. Renovation of existing bunkers to include earthwork, fairway expansion, mounding, installation/confirmation of drainage and reconstruction of bunkers. 2. Installation of erosion protection as required and requested. 3. Grassing and protection of all disturbed areas, including sod. Seed and mulch are not anticipated. A general description of the work to be performed shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following: 1. Turf removal and stockpiling or removal of topsoil, transportation of topsoil and fill within the golf course to meet requested depths. 2. Earthwork excavation and embankment area. 3. Complete all shaping, backfilling, loaming, finish work and drainage as described on the plans and specifications. 4. Furnish and install all plant, labor, equipment and materials (except as noted). 5. Replace and/or restore disturbed areas including shrubbery, paths, grass, posts, signs, trees, etc. within the project site . 6. Provision, installation, and maintain all erosion protection as required (silt fence) and if deemed necessary (straw wattles). 7. Dispose of on-site any excess material and appurtenances from excavation removed as fill but not required as part of the Contract, at the expense of the CONTRACTOR and to the satisfaction of the OWNER. Stumps, sod and other organic materials shall be disposed of onsite by the CONTRACTOR. Drainage pipe, irrigation pipe, etc. shall be disposed of in the off site by the CONTRACTOR. 8. Returning topsoil, cultivating, adding soil amendments, finish grading, preparing for grassing, sodding and protection of all disturbed areas within the project. Provision, installation, spreading and compaction of bunker sand. 10. Provision and installation of all rough sod . Fairway sod will be "flipped" from on site. 11. Clean up and removal from site of all debris not previously disposed of. Repair of haul roads resulting from construction. Town of Natick ( OWNER) shall be responsible for the following: 1. Removal of trees/vegetation affected by work or designated for removal in construction documents. 2. Maintenance of turf as soon as areas are seeded and mulched or sodded. 3. Removal of irrigation parts to be saved and re-used. Question Deadline 09/01/2026 at 12:00 PM ET Questions regarding this IFB shall be submitted in writing and shall be delivered to the Procurement Office, close of business (4:00 P.M. Thursday, and 12:00 P.M. (noon), Friday) 01760, in accordance with the attached specifications.Award is Subject to Appropriation and to Vote/Approval of the Natick Town Administrator.
