Renovation of an educational facility in Brownstown Township, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Request for Quotation The project consists of asbestos abatement for renovations at Trenton High School, to be completed in June-July 2026, prior to building renovation activities. The work includes removal and disposal of asbestos floor tile and asbestos floor tile mastic. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a sworn statement in accordance with MCL 380.1267, disclosing any familial relationship between the bidder's owners or employees and any member of the Board of Education or the Superintendent. Additionally, a sworn statement certifying that the bidder is not an Iran linked business in accordance with MCL 129.313 is required. Bids not including sworn and notarized copies of both the familial relationship disclosure statement and affidavit of compliance with the Iran Sanction Act will not be accepted. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids in whole or in part or to waive informalities or irregularities in the best interest of the School District. Project Sequencing: There will be four (4) project groups for the asbestos abatement activities at Trenton High School. o Project Group THS-01 - "Rooms 2500-2514" The first project group for abatement at Trenton High School includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos flooring materials, including asbestos floor tile and associated asbestos floor tile mastic from Room 2500, Room 2502, Room 2506, Room 2510, Room 2512, and Room 2514. The project will include, but is not limited to, six classroom areas. This project will involve one negative pressure enclosure to remove the asbestos floor covering materials using Class II friable and non-friable removal procedures. The project will begin on Monday, June 22, 2026, and will be complete with all abatement activities, including tear down activities, by the end of the workday on Friday, June 26, 2026. The project schedule allows for a total of five (5) workdays (Monday-Friday) to complete the project. o Project Group THS-02 - "Rooms 2518-2522" The second project group for abatement at Trenton High School includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos flooring materials, including asbestos floor tile and associated asbestos floor tile mastic from Room 2518, Room 2520, and Room 2522. The project will include, but is not limited to, three classroom areas. This project will involve one negative pressure enclosure to remove the asbestos floor covering materials using Class II friable and non-friable removal procedures. The project will begin on Saturday, June 27, 2026, and will be complete with all abatement activities, including tear down activities, by the end of the workday on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The project schedule allows for a total of three (3) workdays (Saturday, MondayTuesday) to complete the project. o Project Group THS-03 - "Rooms 2526-2540" The third project group for abatement at Trenton High School includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos flooring materials, including asbestos floor tile and associated asbestos floor tile mastic from Room 2526, Room 2528, Room 2532, Room 2534, Room 2538, and Room 2540. The project will include, but is not limited to, six classroom areas. This project will involve one negative pressure enclosure to remove the asbestos floor covering materials using Class II friable and non-friable removal procedures. The project will begin on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, and will be complete with all abatement activities, including tear down activities, by the end of the workday on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The project schedule allows for a total of five (5) workdays (Wednesday-Thursday, Monday-Wednesday) to complete the project. o Project Group THS-04 - "Rooms 2542-2546" The fourth project group for abatement at Trenton High School includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos flooring materials, including asbestos floor tile and associated asbestos floor tile mastic from Room 2542, Room 2544, and Room 2546. The project will include, but is not limited to, three classroom areas. This project will involve one negative pressure enclosure to remove the asbestos floor covering materials using Class II friable and non-friable removal procedures. The project will begin on Thursday, July 9, 2026, and will be complete with all abatement activities, including tear down activities, by the end of the workday on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The project schedule allows for a total of three (3) workdays (ThursdaySaturday) to complete the project.
