The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the Drawings and described in the Specifications, including, but not limited to: demolition of the existing FRP chemical bulk storage tanks (a 4,000-Gallon Poly Aluminum Chloride Tank, a 4,000-Gallon Ortho & Poly Phosphate Blend Tank, and a 5,000-Gallon Sodium Hydroxide Tank), including removal of all level sensors, fill and vent piping, and associated components; installation of three new XLPE bulk storage tanks consisting of 4,000 and 5,000 gallon Sodium Hydroxide Tanks and a 4,000-Gallon Ortho & Poly Phosphate Blend Tank equipped with integrally molded connections, radar level sensors, fill ports, overfill alarm panel, and associated piping and fittings; and temporary chemical storage and pumping systems to keep the system fully operational throughout construction. Complete sets of the Drawings, Specifications, and Bid Forms may be obtained via Bidnet as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. Contractors obtaining documents from other sources must notify the Issuing Office to be included on the official Plan Holders List, receive Addenda, and bid correspondence. Bids from contractors not on the Plan Holders List will not be accepted. All bids must be submitted on the official Bid Form, with an original and exact copy in a sealed envelope. The bid is a lump sum bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids must remain valid for forty-five calendar days after opening. Each bid must include a bid security of five percent of the base bid as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder must provide construction performance and payment bonds equal to the full contract price and must comply with all applicable Federal Equal Employment Opportunity requirements. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and disregard nonconforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
