CONTRACT NO. : 1702-072 The work to be performed includes the construction of 260 linear feet of concrete curb, 1,130 square feet of concrete sidewalk, eight ADA ramps, a pair of pedestal-mounted rectangular rapid flashing beacons, striping, and signage. All construction will occur within township easements, township rights-of-way, and state rights-of-way, involving restoration of pavement and unimproved areas and provisions for all erosion and sedimentation controls. All bids must include lump sum or unit prices to be considered for award at the township's option after review of the bid amounts. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent of the total bid amount made payable to the township. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act apply to this contract if the estimated cost of the project is in excess of $25,000. The successful bidder shall pay no less than the wage rates determined for the project area as set forth in the contract documents. The successful bidder must also ensure that employees, subcontractors, and applicants for employment are not discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other basis prohibited by applicable laws and that all workers are legally authorized to work in the United States.
