The Project includes construction of new warehouse-office building, shade structures, exterior improvements of existing buildings on-site and associated on-site and off-site improvements. There will be a mandatory Bidders Conference at the David P. Meaney Education Center at 10474 Mather Blvd, Mather CA 95655, on March 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. Failure to attend this mandatory pre-bid conference may disqualify the non-attending bidder from the bid. A Project site visit will immediately follow the Bidders Conference for those who wish to review the Project site. Bids must be submitted sealed and clearly marked with the project name and bid number. Facsimile or electronic copies of the bid will not be accepted. Bids received after the specified deadline may be rejected. A mandatory Bidders Conference will be held for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. Failure to attend this mandatory pre-bid conference may disqualify the non-attending bidder from the bid. A project site visit will immediately follow the Bidders Conference. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all contract documents. All required forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the bid. No bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty calendar days after the date set for receipt of bids. The successful bidder must file a payment bond and a performance bond issued by an admitted Surety authorized to conduct business in California. This is a public works project subject to the payment of prevailing wages, and all bidders and subcontractors must comply with applicable Labor Code provisions including payment of prevailing rates, employment of apprentices, hours of labor, and debarment provisions. Each bidder must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractor unless an exception applies. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. At all times during performance, the Bidder and all Subcontractors must remain DIR Registered Contractors. Each bidder must be a licensed contractor in the appropriate classifications. No bid will be accepted from a contractor not properly licensed at the time the bid is submitted. Sacramento County Office of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any one or more items of a bid, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding process.
