Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Vienna, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
High School Track Surface Renovation/Refinishing Project includes, but is not limited to, complete track surface preparation, repairs, structural spray resurfacing system installation, thermoplastic striping and standard markings, protection of school operations, and full cleanup in accordance with the project requirements. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as stated on the bid form. Each bidder must submit a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of their total bid. The prevailing hourly rate of wages, as determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri, must be complied with, and not less than the prevailing hourly rate shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this contract, as applicable. Bids must be submitted for the project on the Bid Form bound in the Bidding Documents. The bid envelope must state: "SEALED BID - Maries R-1 High School Track Refinishing - [Bidder Name]". Contractors are encouraged to visit the project site. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to determine the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, and to award the contract on that basis. Contractors are encouraged to visit the project site, but no formal pre-bid conference will be held for this project PROJECT DESCRIPTION & PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS 1. General intent : Restore the track to a uniform , safe , and durable all -weather surface suitable for high school athletics and physical education , by preparing the existing surface and installing a manufacturer -approved resurfacing / repair system . 2. Existing Facility : The project includes the track oval and associated event areas at Maries R-1 High School , Vienna , Missouri . An aerial image is provided in Exhibit A for general reference . The Contractor shall fieldverify all dimensions , lane count , limits of resurfacing , and any event -area extents to be included in the Work . 3. Surface System : Provide a complete , manufacturer -supported track resurfacing system (including primers , binders , base repair materials , and topcoats as applicable ) installed by a manufacturer - authorized installer . The system shall be compatible with the existing track surface and repairs . 4. Performance outcomes (minimum ): Uniform appearance and texture with no visible delamination , blistering , or peeling after cure . Slip-resistant , non-abrasive surface appropriate for spikes and training shoes ; consistent traction in wet / dry conditions . Surface free of trip hazards ; transitions between repaired areas and adjacent surface shall be feathered and smooth . Drainage maintained or improved : no standing water beyond isolated minor puddling after 1 hour following typical rainfall , subject to existing grades and drainage constraints . Striping and markings accurate , crisp , and durable ; layout confirmed with District prior to painting . 5. Substrate evaluation and repairs : • Contractor shall evaluate the existing surface condition and identify required localized repairs (e.g. , cracks , birdbaths / low spots , failed seams , spalls , and areas of deterioration ). Include crack treatment and patching / leveling necessary to achieve a uniform finished surface . Repairs shall be per the surfacing manufacturer's published recommendations and compatible with the proposed system . Include a unit price for additional localized base repairs (beyond the Base Bid scope ) to be authorized by the District if needed . 6. Surface preparation : Clean the surface to remove dirt , organic growth , loose material , and contaminants using manufacturerapproved methods (e.g., power washing , mechanical abrasion , or other means ). Remove / repair failed striping or coatings as required to achieve proper adhesion . Protect adjacent turf , track -infield , and facilities from overspray , debris , and cleaning runoff Submit in writing to the District Superintendent Question Deadline 03/11/2026
