Furnishing and paying for all necessary labor, materials, tools, and other items for the repair and resurfacing of several roadways. The base bid includes approximately 0.69 miles of Hill Drive, 0.15 miles of Cherokee Drive, 0.62 miles of Johnston Drive, 0.09 miles of Crossway Drive, 0.51 miles of Turnbull Drive, and 0.13 miles of Wolfe Drive (between the intersection of Johnston Drive and Turnbull Drive) located in the Dillard Hills subdivision, and 0.38 miles of Shady Oak Drive. The following roadways shall be considered as Add Alternates: approximately 0.52 miles of Wolfe Road; approximately 0.14 miles of Kodiak Drive and 0.07 miles of Polar Court. The work covered shall include but not be limited to labor, materials, equipment, overhead, profit, permits, fees, testing, utility location verification, traffic control, pavement markings, base stone, and asphalt paving courses. Each bidder must deposit with their bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders and other bidding documents. Bids will be required to remain open for acceptance or rejection for sixty calendar days after the date of opening bids. All bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976, ITCA Title 62, Chapter 6. All bidders must be prequalified with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). No bid will be opened unless the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the contractor's license number, date of license expiration, and that part of the contractor's classification applying to the bid. In the case of joint ventures, this information must be provided by all parties submitting the bid. No award of any contract will be made to any firm or individual that is currently debarred by the State of Tennessee or the Federal Highway Administration. The right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities is reserved by the owner.
