Demolition, site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Mount Gilead, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The proposed work consists of improvements to the existing Mount Gilead Water Treatment Plant (WTP) including the replacement of existing pressure filters, ion exchange softeners, and controls. The existing chlorine gas disinfection system will be demolished and replaced with a sodium hypochlorite disinfection system. Other upgrades include flow meter replacement, installation of a new bulk water filling station, and brine system replacement. Sealed bids must be submitted and bidders must be registered as a Plan Holder at the issuing office. Bid security is required in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit for 10% of the bid. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce or the Davis-Bacon Act. This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas (SBRAs). The Village of Mount Gilead, Ohio reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and waive any nonconformities not involving price, time, or changes in the work. All bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the time set for receiving bids.
