Design and install a traffic signal at the intersection of Rainbow Road and Sundance Parkway. The scope of improvements includes a topographic survey, utility coordination, modification of the existing pedestrian ramps, development of construction drawings, selection of a contractor to complete the construction and installation of the traffic signal equipment, and inspection of the construction activities. The crosswalks and stop bars may need to be adjusted if the ramps are modified. ITS connection, either hard wired or wireless, is included in the scope. A power source will need to be coordinated with APS and the existing streetlights demolished and incorporated onto the traffic signal poles. The scope of the improvements does not include any major pavement or adjacent roadway improvements, outside of those necessary to install the traffic signal. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
