Renovation of a conference / convention center in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.

COOLING TOWER REPLACEMENT SERVICES Events DC seeks an experienced Contractor to replace eight (8) existing cooling towers and all related components and material to provide the Services at the Convention Center to include but not limited to: 1. Removal of existing eight (8) cooling towers, catwalks, motors and fans; 2. Phase the removal of towers, two (2) at a time; 3. Ensure existing base and support structure for all equipment is in good condition and meets manufacturer specifications; 4. Installation of eight (8) new cooling towers along with associated controls and electrical work; 5. Connect all piping with appropriate pitch, pumps, spray nozzles, sump heaters, gauges, and plate and frame heat exchangers; 6. Install cooling tower equalizing line for proper water level with automatic low-level alarm; 7. Commission and balance testing of new cooling towers ensuring full integration and functionality with the Building Automation Systems (BAS); and 8. Proper disposal of all construction and debris including existing cooling towers. The Washington Convention and Sports Authority t/a Events DC is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide Cooling Tower Replacement Services at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. This Request for Proposal ("RFP") has a thirty-five percent (35%) set-aside for a Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) as required under the provisions of "The Small and Certified Business Enterprise Development and Assistance Amendment Act of 2014" (the "Act"), effective June 10, 2014.
