Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Flora, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a 3,520-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.
Qualified bidders may submit bids for a new one-story, 3,520 square foot post-frame wood structure with a 12-foot eave height. The building will include a large board room, four private offices, a huddle room, copier/supplies room, restrooms, mechanical room, and storage. The main entrance will be at the center of the south wall with an indoor airlock and sliding windows into two private offices flanking the entrance. A small canopy will be provided at the main entrance. Plumbing will be concentrated in a small core area that includes the restrooms, mechanical room, and a small kitchenette on the north wall of the board room. HVAC is anticipated to include two residential style split systems with overhead ductwork. Bids will be received for a general contract (all trades). The project cost range is anticipated to be under $650,000. Instructions to bidders: Submit sealed lump sum bids in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount must be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Printed procurement and contracting documents may be obtained after February 20, 2026. Required information for obtaining documents includes company name, address, and contact details. Successful bidder shall begin work upon receipt of Notice to Proceed and must achieve substantial completion by October 1, 2026, and construction completion by October 20, 2026.
