If the Specifications and Drawings are too large to be included in the IFB, all interested Bidders may obtain one copy of the Project Specifications and a set of the Project Drawings for use in preparing Bids from the City Procurement Services Division office. If the Bidder requires additional sets, it is the Bidders responsibility to duplicate any additional copies, at its own expense. The Parks Department is seeking a contractor to install new wayfinding posts along the trail system within Garden of the Gods Park and we currently have committed and available funding. Garden of the Gods Park is a City of Colorado Springs owned park located on the west side of Colorado Springs boarded by the Pike National Forest, Manitou Springs, and Colorado Springs. The park is managed by the Colorado Springs Parks Recreation and Cultural Service Department and is also designated as a National Natural Landmark and its natural splendor attracts visitors from around the entire world. The scope of work includes providing all the labor, materials (per bid sheet) and equipment to construct the new trail wayfinding within the main central garden, Rock Ledge Ranch and park open space areas at the Garden of the Gods Park per the included development plans titled: "Garden of the Gods Wayfinding Improvements" Dated: 2/18/26. This includes the removal of existing signs where present on site and installation of new recycled plastic wayfinding posts with metal sleeve cap, carsonite posts and all necessary hardware. The City of Colorado Springs will be responsible for placement of stickers and decals at a later date. Specifically, the work includes: D.3.1 REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF EXISTING TRAIL WAYFINDING SIGNS AND POST The price in "Sheet A" and "Sheet B" of Schedule A shall include all labor and equipment to remove without intent to salvage materials of all existing timber posts and plastic/aluminum trail marker signs. The materials removed can be disposed of at the site as directed by City Staff or legally disposed of at an appropriate facility. The contractor shall be responsible for hauling off the old post and associated debris from the open space areas and disposing of them the locations listed above. Holes in the ground from removed posts must be backfilled. An estimated number of 140 existing posts are located onsite and the contractor will be responsible to remove all existing posts onsite. D.3.2 INSTALLATION OF NEW WAYFINDING POSTS The price in "Sheet A" of schedule A shall include all materials, fabrication and equipment necessary to furbish, prepare and install (dig hole, placement and back fill and compact) all Plastic Timber wayfinding posts per plan. This may include cutting the post to size, digging the post hole, setting the post level and square and back filling the post. The post shall be recycled plastic posts as specified in the plans. The price in "Sheet B" of schedule A shall include all labor and equipment necessary to prepare and install (dig hole, placement and back fill and compact) all Plastic Timber wayfinding posts per plan. This may include cutting the post to size, digging the post hole, setting the post level and square and back filling the post. The post shall be recycled plastic posts as specified in the plans. All Posts will be provided by the City of Colorado Springs with this pricing option. D.3.3 INSTALLATION OF NEW WAYFINDING METAL SLEEVES AND CAPS The price in "Sheet A" of schedule A shall include all materials, fabrication, labor and equipment necessary to fabricate, powder coat, install and attach the metal wayfinding sleeves on the installed posts. Sleeves shall be attached/anchored per the details provided. The price in "Sheet B" of schedule A shall include the labor and equipment necessary to install and attach the metal wayfinding sleeves on the installed posts. Sleeves shall be attached/anchored per the details provided. All metal sleeves/caps will be provided by the City of Colorado Springs with this pricing option. D.3.4 INSTALLATION OF NEW CARSONITE POSTS The price in "Sheet A" of schedule A shall include all materials, labor and equipment necessary to prepare and install all Carsonite Posts per the plans. This may include digging the post hole, setting the post level and square and back filling and compacting fill at the post. The post shall be Carsonite posts as specified in the plans. The price in "Sheet B" of schedule A shall include all labor and equipment necessary to prepare and install all Carsonite Posts per the plans. This may include digging the post hole, setting the post level and square and back filling and compacting fill at the post. All Carsonite Posts will be provided by the City of Colorado Springs with this pricing option.
