Site work for a water / sewer project in Bremerton, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work includes rehabilitating sanitary and storm sewer pipes by cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) methods and the cleaning and video inspection of sanitary and storm sewer pipes to support future lining projects. Schedule A includes video inspection and cleaning of approximately 12,335 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe and rehabilitating approximately 5,462 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe using heat-cured or UV CIPP methods, reinstating side sewers, and removing protruding laterals. Heat-cured CIPP methods must control the emission of styrene vapors. Schedule B includes video inspection and cleaning of approximately 5,973 linear feet of storm sewer pipe and rehabilitating approximately 158 linear feet of storm sewer pipe using heat-cured or UV CIPP method. Heat-cured CIPP methods must control the emission of styrene vapors. Both schedules also require installing flow diversion and temporary bypass pumping, temporary traffic control, and other work identified. A portion of the work must be performed at night due to the project's location along a principal arterial. Bid proposals must be made on the blank forms provided. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit equal to five percent of the bid amount, which may be submitted as cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond for 100 percent of the contract price. Prevailing wage rates must be paid, and all contractors must comply fully with specifications and all applicable federal, state, and city laws and registration requirements. The City of Bremerton reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and is the sole judge of the most satisfactory and responsible bidder. All bids become the property of the City and are subject to public disclosure laws. The contractor is responsible for thoroughly reviewing all specifications and conditions and for compliance with all instructions provided.
