The successful bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, freight, supervision, and services necessary to furnish and install one (1) complete fuel storage tank system, in accordance with this informal bid request, applicable codes, and manufacturer recommendations. The City of Rocky Mount is requesting sealed bids from qualified and experienced contractors to furnish and install one (1) complete fuel storage tank system at a City-owned facility located in Rocky Mount, NC The scope of this informal bid expressly excludes electrical connections of any kind, including power, controls, grounding, and related components. Concrete work, foundations, pads, earthwork, grading, or other site civil construction are not included. Permitting, regulatory approvals, and inspections are excluded unless specifically stated elsewhere in this solicitation. Fuel supply, startup, commissioning, testing beyond mechanical installation, and ongoing operational services are also excluded from the contractor's responsibilities. The City of Rocky Mount Energy Resources staff will be responsible for connecting supply and returning fuel lines from the new fuel storage tank system to the existing equipment. The existing concrete pad at the site measures approximately twenty-two feet (22') by ten feet (10'), and the proposed tank and installation must fit within these dimensions. Bidders are responsible for familiarizing themselves with existing site conditions prior to submitting a bid. Submission of a bid shall be considered confirmation that the bidder has reviewed the site conditions and accounted for them in their pricing and approach. Work under this section includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing and installation of the following: 1. Fuel Storage Tank o One (1) 6,000-gallon double-wall saddle tank (Horizontal) o UL 142 o Factory-finished with Serious Grey paint 2. Piping, Vents, and Fittings Provide and install the following components as part of the complete system: o Morrison Bros. 517 Series 3 1/2 -Gal 4 in. Male NPT AST Spill Container o Two (2) 8-inch Emergency Vents, Model 244OM o One (1) 2-inch fill cap o One (1) 2-inch mushroom vent with 2-inch x 5-inch pipe nipple o One (1) Morrison Clock Gauge (no alarm required) 3. Freight o Freight shall be included to 251 English Rd., Rocky Mount, NC 27804 The bidder shall provide separate alternate pricing for the following turnkey services: o Furnish and install Unistrut and Unistrut clamps o Provide all labor required to offload, set, assemble, and install the tank and all associated equipment o Install all quoted equipment on one (1) 6,000-gallon fuel storage tank o Remove the existing tank and place it on a City-provided trailer o Remove fuel from the existing tank and transfer fuel to the new tank Quote number shall be marked on the outside of the sealed envelope with the Vendor's name and date and time of opening.
