Site work and paving for a road / highway in Harding Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and means to construct various improvements as depicted in the Contract Documents for Long Hill Road Improvements Phase 2. The principal items of work for the base bid include, but are not limited to: mobilization, site clearing, installation of drums, breakaway barricades, traffic cones, construction signs, traffic director/flagger hours, HMA milling (3" or less), HMA 9.5M64 surface course, traffic marking lines (4"), bicycle safe grates, resetting existing inlet castings, installation of 9"x16" hot mix asphalt curb, fuel price adjustment allowance, and asphalt price adjustment allowance. Bids must be submitted in the bound Project Document Book, enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope, and marked with the project name and bidder's details. Bids must comply with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11 et seq.), Public Works Contractors Registration Act, and include a bid guarantee (not less than 10% of the bid amount, max $20,000), surety company certificate for performance and payment bonds (100% of the total price), Statement of Corporate Ownership, Listing of Subcontractors, notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit, notarized Bidder's Affidavit, acknowledgment of receipt of changes to bid documents form, and bid document submission checklist. Bidders must comply with equal employment opportunity and affirmative action requirements (N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and Chapter 127 of P.L. 1975, N.J.A.C. 17:27), Department of Labor Safety and Health Regulations, and Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. The contract requires payment of prevailing wage rates and submission of an Initial Project Manning Report (Form AA-201) within three days of the Notice of Award. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty days after the bid opening. The Township reserves the right to waive minor defects and informalities, reject any or all bids, and reject bids that exceed the available financial appropriation for the project. The project is partially funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation's Local Aid Program. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
