The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to remove and replace two 5000 KVA utility-grade transformers with two new 6000 KVA utility-grade transformers, and to remove and replace sixteen medium-voltage transformers ranging from 30 KVA to 750 KVA. Work includes providing and installing passive, anti-ram rated bollards compliant with ASTM F2656 crash rating requirements (minimum M30/P1 or as otherwise directed), placed at least three feet from transformer pads, spaced no more than five feet apart, and designed to be removable where located within electrical working clearances. Transformer pads shall be replaced where required with new pads constructed of 4000 psi concrete with reinforcement per project drawings. Work includes demolition and removal of existing transformers, concrete, and other items identified in the contract documents; removal and disposal of all equipment and materials not scheduled for reuse; and new construction within the substation area and at each transformer replacement location. No asbestos or lead is anticipated. Electrical, landscape, and site concrete trades are expected to be required for this project, and the contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment. All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications and contract drawings. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
