Renovation of a detention facility in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The work will be done under one prime contract that includes General, Mechanical, Demolition, and Roof Construction. The scope includes Roof Replacements at the Plant Operations Building, Training Barn, A House, B House, B Annex, C House, D House, and HR Building. Remove existing asphalt shingles and install new asphalt shingles at the HR Building. Remove existing asphalt shingles and install synthetic slate tiles on the Plant Operations Building, A House, B House, B Annex, C House, and D House. Install new gutters, fascia, and flat seam metal panels where indicated on the project drawings. Install new blown fiberglass insulation in the attic space. Install new attic access door. This solicitation includes required insurance as recommended for the project's specifications and scope of work. It is highly encouraged potential responders review Section 00 73 16 Insurance Requirements as well as AIA A201, Article 11 before submitting a response. Each solicitation for Roof REPLACEMENT and Roof REPAIR will be evaluated separately. Responders are encouraged to submit a response to both solicitations if they meet the requirements of each solicitation. Pre-qualification requirements: Responding company must have completed, as a Prime Contractor (not as a subcontractor), at least three contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since April 1, 2020, for construction that involved exterior renovation. At minimum, one of the contracts submitted must have occurred at a secure facility. Each of these contracts must have had a construction value of $2,500,000 or greater. A secure facility is defined as State Correctional Facility or Prison, Federal Correctional Facility or Prison, County Jail, International Airport, Detention Center, Reformatories, Secure Mental Health Facility, or a Military Installation. Project Manager and Job Superintendent listed each must have had at least three contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since April 1, 2020, for construction that involved exterior renovation. At minimum, one of the contracts submitted must have occurred at a secure facility. Each of these contracts must have had a construction value of $2,500,000 or greater.
