The scope of work includes the provision of professional services that may include, but are not limited to: providing full-sized plans, specifications, and estimates for traffic/transportation engineering projects; performing general traffic-related studies; reviewing or preparing traffic signal timing and coordination plans; preparing conceptual design plans or exhibits; providing cost estimating and value engineering services; preparing or reviewing transportation impact studies; preparing traffic calming (neighborhood) studies; reviewing or preparing traffic control plans; providing bid support and preparation of record drawings; performing traffic signal operation observation, review, and response (excluding physical traffic signal maintenance and repair); reviewing the City’s traffic control devices and policies for State and Federal compliance; attending meetings as requested; preparing grant applications; preparing presentation materials and/or presenting to Elected Officials, Public and City Officials; other traffic/transportation engineering-related tasks as requested by the City; staff augmentation services at the City of Newport Beach Civic Center for development review and plan checking services; and multimodal transportation sign design services. The consultant shall perform on-call services as described, and upon written request from the Project Administrator, provide a Letter Proposal for services requested by the City.
